Is it obligatory to trim the hair of the armpits and pubic area when it grows, even if a person has not yet reached puberty?

The Prophet (peace be upon him) legislated for the Muslim the shaving of the pubic hair and the plucking of the armpit hair when needed. This involves removing the hair that grows in these areas, and wet dreams have no bearing on it. The proof for this is the hadith narrated by Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) said: "The fitra (natural disposition) is five: circumcision, shaving the pubic hair, trimming the mustache, clipping the nails, and plucking the armpit hair." The meaning of fitra here is that the one who does these acts is characterized by the natural disposition upon which Allah created His servants, thus being in the most perfect and honorable state. The Sunnah for removing armpit hair is plucking, and for removing pubic hair is shaving. However, by whatever means the hair is removed, it is valid. It has been authentically reported from Anas (may Allah be pleased with him) that a time limit was set for them regarding trimming the mustache, clipping the nails, plucking the armpit hair, and shaving the pubic hair, that they should not be left for more than forty nights.
