What should a blind girl do who cannot escape the cruelty of her mother, which drives her to suicide? Is it permissible for her to use medication that would lead to her death to alleviate the pain?

This mother is hard-hearted, devoid of her human nature, and asks her blind daughter to leave the house or poison herself, knowing that even animal mothers show compassion to their young. The cruelty of a mother's heart is harder than silent stones. This mother has not read in the Qur'an the injunctions concerning her and showing her dutifulness, nor does she know that compassion towards her children is innate.

Solutions to this calamity: 1. Informing the father of the truth of what the mother is doing and documenting it. 2. Informing the maternal and paternal uncles to put an end to the children's suffering. 3. The blind girl moving to the home of one of her mahrams. 4. Seeking out people of chivalry to arrange the marriage of the blind girl. 5. Praying for the mother's rectification and for the children's steadfastness and success.
