What is the wisdom behind the prohibition of singling out the night preceding Friday for night prayer, especially if this night is the most suitable for night prayer for employees?

The Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, forbade singling out Friday night for prayer (Qiyam) or its day for fasting. This is disliked by scholarly consensus. Some scholars have mentioned reasons for this prohibition, among them: fear of exaggerating its reverence, or so that its obligation is not believed, or so that it does not lead to boredom with worship. A Muslim must avoid what Allah and His Messenger have forbidden, whether the wisdom behind it is known or not. It is not disliked to observe Friday night if it is combined with the night before it or after it.
