Is the wife sinful if she asks her husband to distance his daughter from a woman who converted to Islam, knowing that this daughter is 16 years old and lives with her mother, engages in immoral acts, hates Islam, openly declares the non-existence of God, and negatively influences the household? The wife has the right to an independent, fully equipped residence that preserves her privacy, and the husband must provide it.

As for the husband's treatment of his non-Muslim stepdaughter: - If the husband hopes for her conversion to Islam, there is no objection to her staying in the home, provided she resides in a separate dwelling from the wife and her daughters, to preserve their privacy and as a precaution against potential harms. - If the husband despairs of her conversion to Islam, there is no good in her remaining in the home, unless he fears that her mother might leave with her or apostatize from Islam. In such a case, he must continue inviting her to Islam, provided she resides in a separate dwelling from the wife and her daughters.

The fundamental principle is the obligation to despise and show enmity towards disbelievers, but it is permissible to treat them with kindness and gentleness to win their hearts towards Islam. If one despairs of their conversion, then one must deal with them according to what they deserve Islamically, while adhering to Sharia guidelines and not assisting them in sin and aggression.
