What was the last Surah revealed to our trustworthy Messenger?

The last Surah revealed in the Quran is Surah An-Nasr, according to Ibn Abbas, may Allah be pleased with them both. Umar ibn Al-Khattab supported this view, considering that the Surah indicated the approaching end of Prophet Muhammad’s life, peace and blessings be upon him. Meanwhile, Al-Bara' ibn Azib, may Allah be pleased with him, held that the last Surah revealed was At-Tawbah. And Aisha, may Allah be pleased with her, stated that the last Surah revealed was Al-Ma'idah. This difference among the Companions is due to the absence of an explicit text from the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, specifying the last Surah revealed, and each of them reported what their ijtihad led them to.
