What is the ruling on a person undertaking a study for a sum of money on behalf of another person who was tasked with it, with the latter receiving the final grade, knowing that if the first person had not undertaken it, someone else would have?

If the writing of the study is originally required for the student to attain an academic level or a degree, then it is not permissible for him to delegate someone else to do it on his behalf, whether for payment or without payment, because it is deceit and falsification. However, if the person is not required to do it to attain an academic degree, and he is authorized to assign someone else to do it, then there is no objection to that, and the payment for this work is lawful.
