Who authored the book "Al-Itqan fi Ulum al-Qur'an"?

The author of the book al-Itqan fi 'Ulum al-Qur'an is the Hafiz Jalal al-Din al-Suyuti (d. 911 AH), who was born in Asyut in the year 849 AH. He has many works, including Tafsir al-Jalalayn, al-Durr al-Manthur fi al-Tafsir bi al-Ma'thur, and Mufhimat al-Aqran fi Mubhamat al-Qur'an. He made al-Itqan an introduction to his exegesis Majma' al-Bahrain. Among his Hadith books is Kashf al-Muwatta', and he has alfiyyat (poetic works of 1000 lines) in Hadith terminology, grammar, and rhetoric, as well as the book al-Kawkab al-Sati' fi al-Usul.
