Was the Messenger of Allah, may Allah's prayers and peace be upon him, afflicted by magic, and how was he cured of it?

It has been confirmed that the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, was afflicted by magic, to the extent that he imagined he had done something when he had not. Jibril then performed Ruqyah on him, and Allah cured him. Afterwards, the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, went to the well where the magic was placed and described its water and palm trees, but he did not extract it, fearing the instigation of evil, and ordered it to be buried.
