Women are the majority of the inhabitants of both Paradise and Hell. Some of them enter Hell due to excessive cursing, mistreatment of their husbands, and immodest display (tabarruj). However, this is not a general rule applicable to all. Islamic law emphasizes the wife's excellent treatment of her husband, as well as men's excellent treatment of their wives.
