What is the path to guidance and marriage, and to repenting from watching pornography, masturbation, writing talismans, drinking alcohol, and neglecting some prayers, along with clarifying whether the prayer of one who drinks alcohol is not accepted until after forty days?

Uprightness and repentance to Allah from sins and transgressions, such as abandoning prayer and drinking alcohol, are among the greatest means of facilitating affairs and accepting acts of obedience. A Muslim must hasten to sincere repentance from all their sins, abandon the company of evil people, adhere to remembrance [dhikr] and supplication [du'a], and have a good opinion of Allah.
