Is what happened considered disobedience to the husband in the two aforementioned cases, bearing in mind that he rejects most things to please his mother?

The Sacred Mosque (Haram al-Makki) is not a place for children's play, but for worship. It is not permissible for a husband to command his wife to shun Muslims, and this becomes even more prohibited if it is in the Sacred Mosque. If the wife meets face-to-face someone whom her husband forbade her from greeting, she must greet them, and the husband's command in this regard should not be obeyed. However, if she initiates going to them despite his prohibition, she is in error. The wife should have obeyed her husband in his prohibition against inviting them, as disobeying him in this matter is wrong, for it is the husband's right not to allow anyone he dislikes to enter his home. There is no harm in the husband agreeing with his mother, as long as it does not lead to disobedience of Allah, injustice to the wife, or infringement upon her rights, for that is not righteousness.
