Is it permissible to remove some of the hairs located directly above the eye, from the side of the eye—whether on the right for the right eye or on the left for the left eye—as an adornment for the husband and with his permission?

It is not permissible for a woman to remove anything from her eyebrows, nor to trim them with scissors or anything else. This is considered the forbidden nams (plucking) for which the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, cursed its doer. This is based on the agreed-upon hadith narrated by Abdullah ibn Mas'ud: "May Allah curse the women who tattoo and those who have themselves tattooed, those who pluck eyebrows and those who have them plucked, and those who separate their teeth for beauty, altering the creation of Allah." This is absolutely forbidden, even if done with the intention of adorning oneself for the husband, unless the thickness of the eyebrows has reached a level that disfigures the creation. In this case, it is permissible to thin them only to the extent that removes this disfigurement.
