Is it permissible to approximate the understanding of the "Book" mentioned in the verse: "Read your book. Sufficient for you this day is yourself as a an accountant" by likening it to electronically stored information, and does this affect one's Aqidah (creed)?

The form of the Book mentioned in the verse is unseen (ghaybi), known only through revelation, and it is not permissible to compare it to electronic discs. Its pages extend as far as the eye can see, as mentioned in the Hadith of the Card (al-Bitaqa). A Muslim must prepare himself for the reckoning, fill his time with righteous deeds, and increase his seeking of forgiveness so that he may rejoice at his scroll on the Day of Resurrection.
