Is it permissible to marry a Kitabiyyah woman who is pregnant by a man she is not married to, and is she obligated to observe the waiting period (iddah) like a Muslim woman?

For the marriage of a Kitabiyyah (woman from the People of the Book) to be valid, she must be chaste. It is not permissible to marry an unchaste woman unless she repents. Based on this, it is not permissible to marry the woman mentioned due to the absence of the condition of chastity.

Secondly: A pregnant woman, whether from a lawful marriage or from illicit relations, may not be married until she gives birth, based on the Prophet's (peace be upon him) saying: "It is not permissible for a man who believes in Allah and the Last Day to irrigate the cultivation of another."

If the woman repents and becomes chaste, it is permissible to marry her after she gives birth, provided the other conditions for marriage are met, such as the guardian's permission and the presence of witnesses.

It is advisable not to proceed with such a marriage, as it carries potential harms, such as its impact on the religion and morals of the children and the husband, in addition to the fear of her reverting to her previous state of forbidden relationships. Marrying a chaste Kitabiyyah already has its risks, so what about an unchaste one?
