Is a person rewarded for reading the Qur'an without understanding its meanings?

However, a believer should strive to understand its meaning, for it is a book of healing and admonition. The Companions used to learn ten verses and the knowledge and deeds contained within them. It is important to be careful to understand the meanings of the Quran from trustworthy scholars, or to refer to reliable books of exegesis such as those by Ibn Jarir and Ibn Kathir.
