Does a divorce take effect if the husband playfully says to his wife: "Tomorrow I will divorce you"?

The husband's statement to his wife, "divorced," is an explicit declaration of divorce, and it takes effect even if he did not intend it. It applies equally to one who is jesting and one who is serious. The divorce takes effect at the very beginning of the day the husband specified for the divorce. If the divorce occurred and this was not the third divorce, the husband has the right to take his wife back during her iddah (waiting period) without a new marriage contract.
