Is the attire consisting of trousers with a knee-length tunic worn by some women at home considered a matter of permissible disagreement where no repudiation is due, or should it be repudiated even if it leads to severe disputes?

If the intent of the clothing is wearing trousers when going out of the house or appearing before non-mahram men, even if inside the house, then this is impermissible due to a defect in the conditions of the religiously prescribed attire for women. However, if the question is about the ruling on wearing trousers, it is permissible under certain conditions. Denunciation and offering advice are obligatory for every situation that violates the Sacred Law, but this should come from someone whose words are likely to be heard, and who observes gentleness and wisdom, based on the Prophet's (peace be upon him) saying: "Indeed, gentleness is not in anything except it adorns it, and it is not removed from anything except it mars it." One should also choose the appropriate time for advice. If she repents and returns to her Lord and ceases committing the forbidden act, then praise be to Allah. If she persists, she may be boycotted if it is hoped that the boycott will benefit her. The matter of the religiously prescribed attire for women and the necessity of fulfilling its conditions is not among the issues of ijtihad where denunciation can be leniently overlooked; rather, denunciation is obligatory.
