What is the ruling on a Christian wife eating pork and drinking alcohol in the marital home, and is the husband obligated to prevent her from doing so?

It is not permissible for a husband to assist his wife in drinking alcohol or eating pork. However, if she does so herself, some scholars hold that he is not to prevent her. Imam Malik disliked marrying a free Kitabiyyah (woman of the People of the Book) due to what she consumes of alcohol and pork, and because the husband cannot prevent her from doing so. Therefore, you are not obligated to prevent your wife from drinking alcohol and eating pork, and you do not incur sin for it. However, do not aid her in this with your money.
