What should a man do who has divorced his wife twice, and is quick to anger and fears uttering the third divorce, in order to save his family from collapse?
Hastiness in uttering divorce pronouncements is dangerous and has negative consequences, which is why it is the most detestable of permissible acts to Allah. A Muslim should not accustom his tongue to [uttering] divorce. As for anger, it is a disease that takes away one's religiousness and chivalry. The Prophet, peace be upon him, advised against anger, for anger brings together all evil. To treat anger, one can remember that this is the last chance before divorce, which leads to great harms. One can consult a religious Muslim psychiatrist, as there might be medical reasons or hormonal imbalances. It is also recommended to frequently remember Allah and supplicate to Him to avert evil and harm.
