What is the authenticity of the claim that the hadiths regarding sodomy are not authentic and that Al-Albani is the only one who authenticated them, and what are the views of hadith scholars concerning them and concerning the punishment for committing sodomy?

The prohibition of the act of the people of Lot came in the Quran and Sunnah. And the hadith: "Whoever you find doing the act of the people of Lot, kill the doer and the one to whom it is done," was narrated by Ahmad, Abu Dawud, Tirmidhi, Ibn Majah, Al-Hakim, and Al-Bayhaqi from Ibn Abbas. Scholars have differed on its authenticity. While Al-Nasa'i denounced it and some weakened it, others authenticated it, such as Ahmad Shakir, Al-Hakim, Al-Dhahabi, Ibn Abd Al-Hadi, Ibn Hibban, Ibn Al-Qayyim, and Ibn Jarir Al-Tabari. Ibn Taymiyyah used it as evidence and reported the consensus of the Companions on killing whoever commits the act of the people of Lot, despite their differing on the method of killing. Even if the hadith is not authentic, the consensus of the Companions that the punishment for sodomy is death is sufficient. One should be wary of those with deviant inclinations who cast doubt on Islamic rulings.
