Is it permissible to read from the middle of two surahs simultaneously, and without the Basmalah or Isti‘adhah, such as combining verses from Surat At-Tawbah and verses from Surat Ya-Sin?

The reciter should not mix between the surahs of the Quran, whether in prayer or outside of it. The jurists have prohibited this and considered it contrary to etiquette, citing the hadith of Bilal, to whom the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, said: "Recite the surah as it is." Also, the saying of Ibn Sirin: "Let one of you beware of committing a great sin without realizing it." The jurists believe that the arrangement of the surahs was taken from the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, and Gabriel, peace be upon him, and that the composition of Allah is better than the composition of humans. Consensus has been reported on the impermissibility of reciting a single verse from each surah.
