What will aid you in this is remembering Allah when you stand for prayer, using the miswak, and saying: "All praise is due to Allah who has given us life after causing us to die, and to Him is the resurrection," when you wake up from sleep. Beware of being negligent in prayer and approaching it lazily, for that is among the characteristics of the hypocrites. As for masturbation, it is forbidden. We advise you to make abundant supplication, keep company with the righteous, and hasten to marry if you are able. Otherwise, you must fast, for it is a shield.
