What is the ruling on touching or handling something ritually impure from which the impurity itself has been removed by something wet, according to the four schools of thought?

If the impurity itself is removed by any purifier that is not food or impure, and its legal effect remains, then according to the Malikis, whatever comes into contact with the place where it was does not become impure, even if it is wet. The Shafi'is, however, hold that a wet object becomes impure if it comes into contact with the place of impurity from which the substance has been removed. The long duration of the impurity's legal effect does not affect it, except that the ground is purified by the sun, wind, and dryness according to the Hanafis and a narration from Ahmad chosen by Ibn Taymiyyah.
