Is it obligatory to pay a diyah (blood money) or financial compensation as a result of a son injuring his classmate at school?

The actions and collisions of boys are treated as mistakes, even if intentional. What happened to the boy requires half of the arsh (blood money for injuries) because it resulted from both of them. The diyah (blood money) for a tooth is half a ushr (tenth) (five camels). The arsh for a wound is estimated according to its classification among types of wounds. Half of the total will be borne by those who caused it, and the other half by the injured party, because both contributed to the incident. If the total reaches one-third of the diyah, it is borne by the aqilah (male relatives responsible for blood money). If it is less than that, it comes from the private funds of the one who caused it. This is the preponderant opinion because the action occurred between them unintentionally, so they bear the consequences of their action. If two people collide unintentionally, then the aqilah of each of them bears half of a mitigated diyah, because each of them was harmed by his own action and the action of his companion, and because it is a pure mistake.
