There is nothing upon you for seeing this small amount of smoke, because it does not indicate the presence of a fire. However, if a Muslim finds a fire in a house and is able to rescue those whose lives are inviolable, it becomes obligatory upon him to do so. It is obligatory to rescue someone drowning or from a fire, and one should interrupt prayer for that purpose. There is no objection to removing a cat from the house. If it dies after being removed, there is nothing upon you, because one who does what is permissible for him, and damage results from it, is not liable.
