1 min readAlso available in العربية

The blind person who does not find someone to guide him to the mosque, and cannot reach it by any other means, is considered excused and is permitted to be absent from Friday prayer and congregational prayers. He prays in his home, and the prayer is not waived for him. The scholars have stated that the hadith of Abdullah ibn Umm Maktum indicates that attendance of the congregation is waived due to an excuse, by the consensus of Muslims.
