Is it permissible to wear gold ornaments (such as rings, bracelets, and necklaces) during ablution (Wudu') and prayer (Salat)?

Wearing a ring during ablution (Wudu') is permissible. Some scholars are of the opinion that it is obligatory to move it so that water reaches the skin beneath it. This was practiced by Abdullah ibn Omar and Ibn Hubairah. Imam Malik said that it is not obligatory to move it, neither during Wudu' nor during Ghusl (ritual bath). Ibn Habib, however, said that it should be moved if it is tight, but not necessarily if it is loose. As for Sheikh Abu Ishaq, he made it obligatory to move it in all cases.

Regarding bracelets, necklaces, and other ornaments, they must be moved if they are loose and water can reach the skin. However, if they are tight, they must be removed during Wudu'.

Prayer is valid while wearing ornaments if they are pure.
