Is it permissible to wear medical compression stockings before ablution for Fajr prayer, knowing that they cover from the instep of the foot up to the top of the thigh, due to a medical necessity that prevents the recurrence of varicose veins?

If it is possible to wear the sock after a complete purification before sleeping, then it is permissible to wipe over it for a resident for one day and one night (24 hours) from the first wiping after the impurity. However, if this is not possible due to harm, then the sock is treated like a splint (jabirah), and it is permissible to wear it before getting out of bed without requiring purification. This is the view of the Hanafis and Malikis. In this case, it is obligatory to wipe over the entire sock, its bottom and top, up to the ankles.
