Does Al-Albani's weakening of the "al-Wahina" hadith mean that it should not be acted upon?

The obligation to remove amulets has been established by several pieces of evidence, including the description of anyone who wears them as having committed shirk (polytheism), such as the Prophet's (peace be upon him) saying: "Whoever wears an amulet has committed shirk," and his saying: "Whoever wears an amulet, may Allah not fulfill his needs; and whoever wears a cowrie shell, may Allah not grant him peace." This is further supported by the hadith of Imran ibn Husayn: "I entered upon the Prophet (peace be upon him) and on my arm was a brass ring. He asked: 'What is this?' I replied: 'It is for al-Wahina (a certain weakness).' He said: 'Cast it away.'"
