Is it permissible for a Muslim to ask about the specific reason for his existence and creation, given his knowledge of the general reason for the creation of jinn and humans to worship Allah, and would his shortcomings in worship be a justification for his question, especially since Allah is not to be questioned as to what He does?

Mankind and jinn were created for the worship and obedience of Allah, and this is the religious, desired legislative will of Allah. Allah Almighty says: "And I did not create the jinn and mankind except to worship Me."

As for the hadith: "Work, for everyone is facilitated for that for which he was created," it refers to the universal will, meaning what the servants will ultimately become, whether happy or wretched. So, the happy one is facilitated for the deeds of the people of happiness, and the wretched one for the deeds of the people of wretchedness.

Thus, the verse and the hadith point to two purposes: the first is what they were commanded with, namely the worship of Allah, and the second is what they will become by Allah's universal will.
