It is permissible to give Zakat al-Fitr in the form of meat for those whose staple food is meat. The weight of one sa' of meat is estimated as five and one-third Baghdadi ratls, which is equivalent to 2176 grams. The estimation of a sa' by weight is approximate due to the varying weight of a sa' depending on what is placed in it. If a Muslim takes precaution and gives more than this amount, it is better.
