The repentant person is congratulated for returning to Allah, and he must persevere, be steadfast, and choose righteous companionship. Challenges after repentance should be addressed from two perspectives: as a guided penitent and as a caller to Allah. As a guided penitent, he must endure and be patient with the harm from mockers, though severity is permissible if the mockery targets religion. As a caller (da'i), he should be wise in his call, balancing gentleness and leniency with firmness as needed. Regarding family and colleagues, one must be patient with their harm and vary methods of advice gently, while striving for their guidance.
