What is the sin of a person who lives in a corrupt environment, full of tribulations, and high cost of living, all of which are signs of Allah's wrath, and why is he punished for the sins of others?

Such negative thoughts are whisperings from Satan and a fruit of weak faith. Their cure lies in faith and in submission to Allah’s divine decree and destiny. Allah is just; He wrongs no one. He is wise in what He creates and ordains. Destiny is a secret, the knowledge of which belongs to none but Him, and Allah is not to be questioned about what He does. This world is a realm of trial and examination, not a realm of recompense. The disbeliever may be granted blessings as a gradual enticement [towards punishment], while the believer may face hardships as an expiation for his sins and an elevation of his ranks. No one can fulfill Allah Almighty's rights, and no one will enter Paradise by their deeds alone, but rather by Allah's mercy and grace. If Allah were to punish the inhabitants of the heavens and the earth, He would do so, and He would not be unjust to them. Objecting to Allah's decree arises from forgetting the Hereafter and failing to appreciate Allah's innumerable blessings.
