What is the ruling of Islamic Sharia on a father forcing his daughter to wear the jilbab to university, knowing that the daughter is aware of its obligation but does not wish to wear it at this time, and knowing that her clothes are modest? And is it permissible for the father to give her the choice between wearing the jilbab or not going to university?

A woman's clothing must be concealing, not describing or transparent, when going out or when among non-mahram men. Trousers describe the body and are not considered a legitimate hijab. Therefore, one must immediately respond to Allah's command by wearing loose, concealing clothing. Allah Almighty says: "It is not for a believing man or a believing woman, when Allah and His Messenger have decided a matter, that they should have [any] option in their decision." Delaying this combines two displeasures: disobeying Allah's command regarding hijab and disrespecting the father.
