The answer

Allah Almighty blesses whatever He wills of individuals, places, and times. He made blessings in the body of the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, and in what emanated from him. It is established that the Companions sought blessings from him. Examples of this include: their seeking blessings from the leftover water of his ablution and wiping themselves with it for healing, his spitting into Ali's eyes which then healed, his spitting into a small amount of food which then multiplied until a thousand men ate from it, their vying for his phlegm and ablution water, and Umm Sulaym collecting his sweat to use it as perfume. This seeking of blessings is specific to the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, and not to other righteous individuals.
