Is the good-smelling powder used for shaving with a razor after 'Umrah considered among the prohibited types of perfume?
It is known that this powder is used after shaving, so there is no problem in using it. However, if it is used before shaving and contains perfume intended for anointing oneself with, then its use is not permissible. But if it does not contain perfume, then its use is permissible, even if it has a pleasant smell. Sheikh Al-Uthaymeen holds the view that if what is applied to the head before shaving is merely a pleasant scent and not perfume, then there is no harm in it, even if it is during the state of ihram itself.
