What is the ruling on the food of the People of the Book, and what is the ruling on slaughtering with an electric stunner or a gun if the name of Allah was not heard mentioned over it, or if the mention of other than Allah was heard, such as the name of Jesus or Ezra?

The same conditions apply to the slaughter of a person of the Book as apply to the slaughter of a Muslim. It is not required to hear him mention the name of Allah over it, unless it is known that he intentionally omitted the Tasmiyah (mentioning Allah's name), in which case his slaughtered animal becomes unlawful. It also becomes unlawful if a name other than Allah's is mentioned over it, such as Christ or Ezra, or if it is stunned by electricity or shot with a gun.
