What is the ruling on buying three-dimensional dolls that represent images of humans and animals for children?

The prohibition of photography and the making of statues, whether they are in the form of humans or animals, three-dimensional or two-dimensional, excludes dolls for girls. This is due to the concession mentioned in this regard, such as the Hadith of Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) concerning her playing with dolls. The purpose of their permissibility is to accustom girls to compassion and raising children. However, it is not permissible to decorate the house with these dolls, because the exception is specific to the children's need for them.
