How is the trace of the envier used if the house is afflicted by the evil eye?

It is not far-fetched to suggest that washing by the envier and sprinkling the water used for washing around the house may be beneficial in removing the effect of the evil eye from the house, by analogy with a person being afflicted by the evil eye. Sheikh Ibn Jibreen was asked about performing ruqyah for a car by having the envier perform ablution and placing the water in the car's radiator. He replied that there is no harm in that, for the evil eye can afflict everything, such as animals, factories, houses, trees, and cars. The cure for it is for the envier to perform ablution or wash themselves, and then pour the water from their ablution or wash over the afflicted, and this is beneficial by the permission of Allah, due to the Prophet's (peace and blessings be upon him) saying: "And if you are asked to wash, then wash."
