How can one reconcile the Hadith "There is no 'adwa (transmissible disease/contagion) and no tiyarah (evil omen/superstitious belief)" with the Almighty's saying, "Indeed, their evil omen is with Allah," given a phenomenon experienced by the questioner, where what he wishes for does not come true, but what he fears or expects the opposite of does, which drives him to wish for evil in order to attain good?

Everything that befalls a person, whether success or failure, is by the decree and divine destiny of Allah, for Allah Almighty says: "Indeed, We created all things in [due] proportion." A person's imagination has no effect on what is predestined. A Muslim should seek help from Allah, strive for what benefits him, and not despair of His mercy. One must avoid sins, as they deprive one of sustenance, and taqwa (piety, fear of Allah) is the greatest cause for the success of intentions, for Allah Almighty says: "And whoever fears Allah - He will make for him ease in his affair."
