"It is not legally obligatory for a husband to spend the night with his revocable divorcee; rather, there is a difference of opinion among jurists regarding the permissibility of doing so. A revocable divorcee is considered like a wife in terms of rights and obligations, including observing the 'iddah (waiting period) and remaining in the marital home. The right of return (raj'ah) belongs to the husband, so he can take back his revocable divorcee without her knowledge or consent as long as she is within her 'iddah. If the wife, being of sound mind and mature age, waives her deferred dowry, her right to claim it is forfeited.
