Is a woman forgiven for all her major and minor sins, including shortcomings in prayer, due to childbirth?

All the physical and psychological pains that afflict a Muslim are expiated by Allah, the Almighty, for his sins, even a thorn that pricks him. A woman receives a great reward for her pregnancy, childbirth, and weaning. If she dies (during this period), she receives the reward of a martyr. This expiation is for minor sins. As for major sins, they require a special repentance. Abandoning prayer is one of the greatest major sins that cannot be expiated by afflictions and pains. Some scholars are of the opinion that whoever abandons it is an apostate, a disbeliever expelled from the fold of Islam. As for delaying prayer beyond its time without abandoning it, illnesses and pains may expiate that.
