Is it permissible for a newborn's name to end with a silent prolonged alif (such as Sana, Maha, Lama)?

It is Islamically permissible to be named "Sana," "Maha," and "Lama." As for the spelling of these names: "Sana" and "Maha" are written with a long alif because their origin is from the letter waw, whereas "Lama" is written with a short alif because its origin is from the letter ya.
