Does it contradict Islamic law for there to be a rich, pampered youth while the diligent are poor? And is there an Islamic system for wealth that cannot be changed?

The perceptions of most people are controlled by their circumstances, upbringing, and desires, without an awareness of the details of interests and the wisdom of destinies. Allah Almighty, on the other hand, encompasses all things with knowledge, and has distributed among people their provisions and livelihoods, and preferred some of them over others in provision as a test and trial. This Quranic truth is manifested in His saying, Exalted be He: "WE HAVE DISTRIBUTED AMONG THEM THEIR LIVELIHOOD IN THE LIFE OF THIS WORLD, AND WE HAVE RAISED SOME OF THEM ABOVE OTHERS IN RANKS, SO THAT SOME OF THEM MAY EMPLOY OTHERS IN SERVICE." For "employ in service" (sukhriyyan) means some serving others for the orderliness of life.

Allah Almighty has clarified that the expansion of provision may lead to rebellion and tyranny, and for this reason He sends it down in the measure He wills. Provisions are the distribution of the Creator and are not due to a shortage in His treasuries, but rather for the wisdom and benefit of His servants. Allah Almighty gives in measure and does not withhold out of miserliness. The divine distribution is not interfered with by any earthly power, and this is affirmed by the reality of life which depends on this disparity. The worldly life witnesses that the distribution of provisions is not linked to human effort and intellect, but rather it is the distribution of the All-Knowing Distributor.
