How can a Muslim stop watching forbidden movies and TV series, especially when resorting to them to overcome boredom?

Series and films are often replete with great evils, such as immodesty, unveiling, seclusion between non-mahrams, indecency, and music. A Muslim must fear Allah and protect their hearing and sight from watching these evils, and remember their standing before Allah. Allah Almighty says: (And fear Allah and know that you will meet Him. And give good tidings to the believers.) Remembering the Day of Judgment, accountability, and supplication are among the greatest means of helping one stay away from sins. If you fear your soul will succumb to watching them, then remove the television and fill your free time with the remembrance of Allah or permissible activities to avoid the whispers of Satan.
