What is the difference in the inheritance of a wife who has daughters versus one who has sons?

The wife's inheritance is specified in the Holy Quran: she receives one-fourth of what the husband leaves if he has no child, and one-eighth if he has a child. "Child" includes both male and female offspring. So, if the husband has a child, whether male or female, the wife inherits one-eighth.
