Is a wife permitted to refuse to travel with her husband to his workplace if his accommodation causes her illness?

Scholars have differed on the issue of a wife traveling with her husband. The preponderant view is that she must accompany him and relocate with him even if she dislikes it, as long as the husband provides her with a suitable life and she feels safe regarding herself and her property, based on the verse: "Lodge them where you lodge, according to your means." (65:6). Some Hanafi jurists, however, dissented, permitting a wife to refuse travel with her husband due to the corruption of the times and her lack of safety.

However, if the lodging is unsuitable to the extent that she fears harm, she is not obligated to travel, but should ask him to provide suitable lodging.
