Is it permissible to apply the adhkar (supplications) for putting on and taking off a garment to putting on and taking off a sandal or shoe, such as saying: "All praise is due to Allah Who has clothed me with this shoe and provided it for me without any power or strength on my part" when putting it on, or "Bismillah (In the name of Allah)" when taking it off?

If a Muslim eats food and says: "All praise is due to Allah who fed me this food and provided it for me, without any power or strength on my part," his past sins will be forgiven.

And if he wears a garment and says: "All praise is due to Allah who clothed me with this garment and provided it for me, without any power or strength on my part," his past sins will be forgiven.

It is also recommended to say this remembrance when wearing sandals, by analogy with clothing.

As for taking off clothes, what has been narrated regarding mentioning Allah's name for protection from the jinn's eyes is not authentic. And sandals do not take the same ruling as clothes in this matter, because removing them does not expose the 'awrah (private parts).
