Is the one who practices masturbation considered a suicide, and if he repents from it, is this description removed from him?

You have done well in quitting masturbation, and we ask Allah to grant you success and steadfastness. The impermissibility of masturbation and its harms have been previously explained in prior fatwas. As for whether its perpetrator is a suicide, suicide is the taking of one's own life through a forbidden act with that intention. Therefore, if it is proven that masturbation leads to that and a person performs it with the intention of suicide, then he would be considered a suicide.
