What is the meaning of "I was aided by terror for a month's journey," mentioned in the Hadith: "I have been favored above the prophets with six things: I have been given comprehensive words, I was aided by terror for a month's journey, spoils of war were made lawful for me, the earth was made for me a mosque and a means of purification, I was sent to all of creation, and the prophets were sealed with me"?

The first Hadith, which begins with "I have been favored over the prophets with six things," was narrated by Muslim, Tirmidhi, and Ahmad, and it does not mention a distance of a month's journey. As for the second Hadith, which includes "a month's journey," it came with the wording: "I have been given five things which no Prophet before me was given: I have been made victorious by awe (cast into the hearts of the enemy) for a distance of one month's journey; the earth has been made for me a place for prayer and a means of purification, so any man of my Ummah, wherever he may be when the time for prayer comes, should pray; the spoils of war have been made lawful for me, and they were not made lawful for anyone before me; I have been granted intercession; and a Prophet used to be sent only to his people, but I have been sent to all mankind." This Hadith is agreed upon. The meaning of "I have been made victorious by awe (cast into the hearts of the enemy) for a distance of one month's journey" is that Allah casts dread into the hearts of His enemies from a distance of a month's journey. This exclusivity is affirmed for him even if he is alone.
